Alistair has more than 30 years of commitment to athletics, officiating in numerous capacities – at all levels of meetings, including World Championships and Commonwealth Games.

From an active committee member for Edinburgh Woollen Mill (now Edinburgh AC), he has progressed to becoming Track Course Tutor and elected Head of Discipline (Scotland) in 2013 and UK Track Peer Group in 2022.
