Scottish Athletics Leader and Coach Terms & Conditions

Following the announcement published during summer 2023 (see link here) in relation to each of the Home Country Athletics Federations (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) assuming responsibility for the licensing of all leaders and coaches from UK Athletics, Scottish Athletics became the licensing authority for any licensed* leaders and coaches with a permanent residence in Scotland from 1 November 2023.

This will allow us to service, support, and provide education and development opportunities to all our leaders and coaches directly.  The transition and development of the licensing scheme will ensure that, we can continue to provide essential services and keep people safe across our sport.

***UPDATE FEBRUARY 2024 – FROZEN LICENCE STATUS***

If you are a licensed leader or coach and have not yet accepted the Coach Licence Terms and Conditions (T&Cs), your licence has been ‘frozen’ and you do not currently have access to the insurance cover that is provided as part of the licensing scheme.

If you have let your licence ‘freeze’ in error, this can be rectified by following the steps that have been outlined below.  Please note that your licence has only been ‘frozen’ until the 30 June 2024.  After this period, your licence will be lapsed and you will need to complete the full renewal process to bring your licence up to date.
