Scottish Running Week 2026

Scottish Running Week will return again for this year between 1-7 June 2026.

Athletics Trust Scotland’s annual week-long celebration of running is back this summer and this year the theme is community.

We are encouraging the athletics and running community across Scotland to organise activities to celebrate the sport we love and fundraise for the charity’s work to make it more accessible for all. Whatever you choose to do, you will be helping to change lives through the power of athletics and running.

Everything you need to know about Scottish Running Week – including fundraising ideas, examples of what clubs have done in previous years, and how to register your event – can be found in the fundraising pages of the ATS website.

This year, we are delighted that we have already had commitments of support from clubs across the country including Inverclyde AC, West End Road Runners and Kilmarnock Harriers (via the popular Roon the Toon 10k).

Athletics Trust Scotland is a charity which uses the power of athletics and running to transform lives in Scotland.

The charity are committed to making our wonderful sport more accessible for all. The work focusses on supporting communities who face barriers to being active, including people affected by poverty, people with disabilities, and culturally and ethnically diverse communities.
