THANKS, DARREN

Darren Ritchie, Head of Coach Development with scottishathletics, has decided to move on to pastures new.
Darren, the National Record holder in the long jump, has been with scottishathletics for an 11-year period and filled a number of roles.
'I have thoroughly enjoyed working at scottishathletics and really proud of my achievements over the past 11 years,' he said.
'I would like to thank all the athletes, coaches, officials, clubs and staff that I have worked with over the years for making my time at scottishathletics so enjoyable and memorable.
‘I’m really pleased to have contributed to the development of the sport and now looking forward to new challenges.’
Mark Munro, chief executive, said: ‘We’re very grateful for Darren for his contribution to the work of the governing body over a lengthy period and of course prior to that in his time in the sport, said Mark Munro, chief executive.
'Darren has delivered across a number of roles during that period and contributed significantly to a wide range of projects - many of which are on-going and will be taken forward in the new structure.
‘We want to wish him all the best for the future.’ ...

BREAKING - WORLD UNIVERSITY GAMES SELECTIONS for NICK PERCY and ADAM THOMAS . . .
Good news coming through today from British Athletics and British Unis (BUCS) on their selections for the World University Games this summer.
Scots Nick Percy (discus) and Adam Thomas (100m) have been picked to compete at the event in Naples in Italy in July.
It's great for both athletes and we forward out congratulations to them and their families and coaches.
Nick was team captain for Scotland at the Loughborough International last weekend while, with Adam, it's brilliant to see a selection for a Scottish sprinter for a significant global event.
