Performance athletes are the very best in the country.
They often represent Scotland and GB at competitions at home and abroad, strive to raise achievement levels and provide great role models to younger athletes.
The scottishathletics Performance Team supports athletes and their coaches throughout their career to give them the best opportunities to excel.
Use the links on the left to explore this section, which includes information on team selection policies, including athlete eligibility. These are supported by the International Handbooks, which detail competition opportunities for athletes of all ages, both on and off track.
This section also provides advice for athletes using social media.
