Coaches are vital to our sport. Without the commitment of those who choose to guide and train athletes of all ages, abilities and disciplines, athletics simply would not exist.
The backbone of the coach’s journey is formed by the qualifications that we offer around the country. Courses are available for everyone from complete beginners (such as the Leadership in Running Fitness (Jog Leader) or Leading Athletics courses) to the most experienced.
You can explore all our coaching qualifications using the menus on the left of this page.
You can also access other important information on our website including: welfare, safeguarding, clean sport, and health and mental wellbeing in athletics
Our next coach and leader education program will take take place in Autumn 2024 with available courses published in July.
