The RRR group is made up of a small number of officials with varying years of service, covering both endurance and track and field from East, West and North Scotland. The group is a sub-group of the Scottish Officials Commission with Shona Malcolm reporting back to the Commission on the Group’s progress.
The three aims of the group are:
To promote positive recruitment of officials at athletics events.
To retain our current officials by making their experiences at events as positive and enjoyable, whilst keeping to the rules.
To reward officials for their continued support of the sport and recognise their importance to the athletes, coaches, clubs and scottishathletics.
To achieve these aims the group meet bi-monthly roughly 6 times a year, via Zoom. The meeting usually last 1 hour. The RRR group create an action plan with short and long term activities along with realistic timescales. The plan is reviewed at each meeting confirming whether recommendations for the RRR group are completed, partially completed or no longer relevant.
The RRR group strives to be your voice! If you have any comments or wish to be involved please do not hesitate to contact any member of the group.
