Keep On Running campaign launch
Our Keep On Running campaign launched a couple of weeks ago and is already making a big impact across athletics in Scotland and the jogscotland community.
We are absolutely thrilled to have increased from 45 clubs and groups at the start to 60 now signed up to help see if we can capitalise on lockdown running this autumn and winter.
scottishathletics are working with those clubs and groups to help give advice on how to go about launching the campaign at local level.
We have a new Keep On Running section on this website and, within that, there are resources available to download and use including posters and social media posts.
There’s already been some great coverage of the campaign both at national and local level and we are urging the clubs and groups involved to contact their local media.

Here’s some of the basics for clubs and groups to use to help promotion:
*On your website and social media. You might also consider some targeted ads on social media – look for the ‘Promote’ button on your Facebook page.
*Via word of mouth – ask your club/group members to share your social posts and encourage their friends and family to come along.
*Use scottishathletics and jogscotland poster templates https://www.scottishathletics.org.uk/clubs/club-support/promotional-resources/ and place these in gyms, leisure centres, doctors surgeries, supermarket noticeboards, libraries, park noticeboards, etc
*We will provide you with a press release template that you can send to your local newspapers.
Chloe urges girls and women to Keep On Running
There are many scottishathletics clubs who have enjoyed a rise in membership during the early months of lockdown and we’ve been speaking to them about how they have managed to maintain growth.
