Welcome to our new #ThrowbackThursday occasional feature.

Each time we will dip into our photograph Archive and also our You Tube channel to take a snapshot of a particular year.

Initially, we will be looking between 2010 and 2019 given the material we have available and taking into account that there is already a lot of history archived on the Road Running and Cross Country Commission website.

Let’s start as above with the London 2017 World Champs with Eilidh Doyle and Zoey Clark (see video below) landing fine silver medal as part of the GB and NI quartet in the Women’s 4 x 400m relay final.

That came at the conclusion of an event which featured no fewer than 16 Scottish athletes as both Callum Hawkins and Laura Muir took fourth place finishes in the marathon and 1500m respectively.

Edinburgh AC duo Lynsey Sharp and Chris O’Hare were others to qualify through the round and reach the 800m and 1500m finals respectively.

The Lindsays National XC was once again held at Falkirk.

In the Senior races, the Men’s 1-2-3 saw Callum Hawkins of Kilbarchan AAC take the title for the second time in his career. Kris Jones (Dundee Hawkhill Harriers) was second and Lachlan Oates (Shettleston Harriers) completed the podium

And the Women’s races saw Morag MacLarty (now Millar) (Central AC) take gold with a superb run as she headed Beth Potter (VP-Glasgow) and Sarah Inglis (Lothian RC).

Lindsays Short Course Results on the Archive

There was a Lindsays Short Course win for Laura Muir in the colours of Glasgow Uni at Kirkcaldy in November of 2017
