CLUB DEVELOPMENT: We may have mentioned this before no harm in highlighting again - it was third birthday celebrations this week for the Junior section at SPRINGBURN HARRIERS. The club had no junior athletes at all but, with a lot of hard work, launched a new section only a couple of weeks before the gun went off on the athletics at Hampden for Glasgow 2014. Now, clearly, they are going from strength to strength as this picture proves. Well done to the volunteer coaches and club officials and parents involved in this work to grow the sport - replicated by others across the country at other clubs in different ways. ...
The Clydebank 5K will take place from the Sea Scouts hall in Miller Street, Clydebank on 28th June. Registration from 6.00 pm to 7.15pm. There are toilets in the hall but no showers.
The hall is situated in Miller Street, just past the railway bridge. There is a car park opposite the hall and the former council Offices car park at the end of the street so plenty parking available. Miller street backs onto the canal towpath and is also close to Kilbowie Road and the Business Park. It is also very close to Clydebank railway station and the bus station.
Miller Street is off Dumbarton Road, 1st right after Kilbowie Road coming from Glasgow or if you come down Kilbowie Rd it’s right at the bottom and 1st right into Miller St.
