Entries Close Thursday: District Champs and National Opens

Tuesday 23rd April 2024

We are entering the last lap in terms of entries for the forthcoming District Champs and National Open events.

These are among the first scottishathletics championship events of the season with the District Champs taking place at three venues – for the U17, U15 and U13 age groups.

And for Senior and U20 athletes, we have a programme of National Open Events also taking place over the weekend of May 10-12.

The three venues are Inverness for the North, with events on Friday and Saturday; and Grangemouth (East) and Kilmarnock (West) on the Saturday and Sunday.

In the National Open Events, the Sprints and Jumps will be at Grangemouth this year and the Endurance and Throws at Kilmarnock. Events are available at Inverness, too, for Senor and U20 athletes, including a 5000m.

Entries close at 5pm on Thursday 25 April

Some events are already sold out. If you wish to withdraw from a sold out event, please email events@scottishathletics.org.uk so we can offer to other athletes. Thanks.

It may also be worth noting that the East U17 steeplechase events will take place alongside the West in Kilmarnock, and the West pole vault for U15 and U17 will take place with the East in Grangemouth.

Athletes wishing to enter either of these two events should enter through the fixture page for the venue, rather than the District; will compete together in the same race/pool on the day; and will be awarded separate medals based on their home district.
