The 2024 summer track and season is very much up and running (and jumping and throwing) with the first events starting to take place.

And there are three more coming up over this weekend – including Scottish Champs for 10k on the track.

The Glasgow Athletics Association are our hosts at Crownpoint on Friday evening for the Night of the 10ks. Around 70 athletes are entered to take on 25 laps as they contest Scottish Championships at 10,000m.

As well as Senior medals, there are Masters medals on offer in five-year age bands from V35 up.

Good luck to all those competing and thanks in advance to our scottishathletics Officaisl and to the GAA helpers and volunteers.

Key info for Aberdeen

On Sunday, the first of our Throws GP events takes place in Aberdeen.

The superb facility at Aberdeen Sports Facility will be the backdrop for competition in all the throws events and hopefully conditions will be conducive to PB performances.

Thanks in advance to those involved in hosting the event and to our Officials.

Good luck to all our throwers and throws coaches making the trip to Aberdeen (with two further Throws GP events scheduled later this summer).

Start-lists (will become Live Results)

The GAA host another event on Sunday when they stage their first Sprint Gala of 2024.

Crownpoint is the venue once again and good luck to all those preparing to race and to those delivering the event.
