Time: 9.00am to 4pm
Venue: Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling, Stirling, FK9 4LA
scottishathletics will host a free one-day seminar to address key issues within our sport and for the safety and well-being of those within our clubs.
The programme in Stirling will be a blend of expert speakers and case studies through which we will explore and learn about the role of the welfare officer in promoting well-being and safeguarding in athletics.
This seminar includes sessions on our child well-being and protection policy and toolkit, PVG and recruitment, anti-bullying, managing challenging behaviour and having difficult conversations.
For those who attend, it will raise awareness of the support available and give you the tools and confidence to deal with any issue sensitively and appropriately.
The event is open to scottishathletics licensed coaches, club welfare officers or those with welfare responsibility in affiliated clubs.
