The Lloyd Cowan Bursary (LCB) is open for applications from athletes and coaches for 2022 support.
These bursaries aim to help unfunded young athletes aged 16-23, and coaches, for whom cost is a potential barrier, by awarding grants of up to £500 to help them access developmental opportunities in athletics.
Young Scottish athletes Tendai Nyabadza of Harmeny AC and Rebecca Grieve of Pitreavie AAC were among those to receive backing in 2021, when 60 percent of those who applied were supported.
The LCB has been set up in memory of the late, great, British Athletics coach who died unexpectedly from Covid-19 in January 2021.
Applications close at 11.59pm on October 13, so please don’t hesitate to study the form and make contact.
The selection process will happen the following week when the Grants Committee meets to consider every submissions. Decisions will be confirmed by the end of October.
