Help us help lead our sport: We’ve vacancies for three volunteer roles on our Board

scottishathletics are seeking volunteers to serve on our Board to help us shape the forward progress of our sport.

There are three roles now vacant and we are delighted to start a recruitment process for:

*Non-Executive Board Director (including Equality Champion)

*Non-Executive Board Director (Commercial)

*Company Secretary

Brief details on each of these voluntary roles is out-lined below and there is a link to full information about the application process.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 27 April 2026.

Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be considered. Online interviews will be scheduled with successful applicants at a mutually agreeable time. We are intending to hold interviews in May 2026.

Non-Executive Board Director Job Description

Scottish Athletics Limited (scottishathletics) is seeking a new non-executive Director to join the diverse and experienced Board on an industry leading governing body of sport.

About the Role

Our Board is seeking a new Director with a background in equality, diversity and inclusion preferably either in a sporting context or through lived experience. Alongside the other members of our Board, you will be responsible for ensuring the best long-term interests and prosperity of (scottishathletics) by supporting and challenging the executive team in the direction of its affairs, while meeting the appropriate interests of its members, and relevant stakeholders, taking into account legislation, relevant regulations and commercial considerations.

About the Role

Our Board is seeking a new Company Secretary to ensure the organisation continues to operate within a strong governance and compliance framework, meeting all legal and regulatory requirements, as well as those set out in scottishathletics governing documents.

You will support and advise the Board and senior leadership team to enable effective decision-making, oversight, and continuous improvement of governance practices.
