Scottish thrower Angela McAuslan-Kelly just missed out on the hammer final at the World U20 Champs in Peru.
Angela threw 59.31m and was placed seventh in her pool as six athletes progressed to the Women’s hammer final.
And in the overall list of 21 competitors, the Aberdeen AAC athlete now based in the United States was ranked 13th – just outside the 12 qualifiers.
Hard lines but we’ve no doubt it will be very much a case of ‘onwards and upwards’ for Angela and great to see her compete for GB and NI at this level.
Relay runners Rebecca Grieve and Dean Patterson are also with the GB and NI team in Lima.
