Morag and Jamie take top spots in our Cross Country Grand Prix

Central AC dominate our Cross Country Grand Prix once again for 2026 – with wins for Jamie Crowe and Morag Millar.

In fact, the top three positions in the Men’s division were covered by a trio of Central Ac athletes.

scottishathletics are pleased to pay out £4000 in prize money overall following performances in four events in the Lindsays Cross Country Season.

Jamie’s superb season and forth National XC victory ensured he tops the table on 236 points.

Hamish Hickey was second on 176 with a third Central AC athlete, Aidan Thmpson, third on 141. Completing the top five were Jamie Burns of Shettleston on 131 and Tom Spencer of Glasgow Uni on 126.

Runners from Garscube, Inverclyde AC, Cambuslang, Carnethy and Shettleston made up the Men’s top ten,

Morag was fourth at Falkirk and that was enough to secure top spot in the Women’s division with 202 points.

Naomi Lang was second on 172 and Nancy Scott took third on 131 points. Completing the top five were Scout Adkin in fourth and Emily McNicol in fifth (Emily tied on points with Clare Stewart of Shettleston but with a better placing at Falkirk).

Runners from Central, Shettleston, Dundee Hawkhill Harriers (one Laura Muir!)and Edinburgh AC made up the Women’s top five.
