The scottishathletics Development Team held a successful gathering of our Club Together project officers and club line managers in Stirling on March 25.
It was a great chance to share best practice and address challenges faced by clubs taking part in the programme.
Jamie McDonald chaired the meeting as our Club Together lead and there were presentations from Aberdeen AAC, Pitreavie AAC, Dunfermline Track and Field Club and Harmeny AC.
Among the issues discussed were capacity building, Para athletics and volunteer recruitment, retention and reward.
As a result of the pandemic, it had not been possible to stage this kind of meeting for more than two years so many thanks to all those clubs who attended this time in Stirling.
We look forward to working closely with you and, indeed, all our clubs.

4J Studios National Athletics Academy
Over the same weekend, there was another gathering of our 4J Studios National Athletics Academy athletes.
Training sessions were held involving athletes and coaches at the Kilbarchan AAC facility at Linwood and that was followed by a residential stay at the sportscotland centre at Largs.
The 4J Studios National Academy had met previously back in November and there was also an online get-together in February.
We thus continue to work regularly with athletes, coaches, parents and their support teams on a number of important performance development issues including areas such as nutrition, athlete lifestyle, media and sports psychology.
Many thanks to everyone contributing to the current intake of the National Academy and we underline our thanks to sponsors 4J Studios for their important on-going support.
