Meanwhile, Scottish throwers gathered at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena in Kilmarnock for our Spring Throws meeting.
With around 75 athletes on start-lists it was a good day for the development of the throws across the age groups and the competition opportunity marked the start of the 2022 outdoor season.
There were many Personal Best performances and the age range of athletes from U13 to Masters M60 reflects the continued appeal of the throws.
Top performance of the day came via the Invitational Shot event as Teddy Tchoudja threw out to 14.37m. That takes the Shettleston Harriers athlete to the top of the UK U20 rankings for this year.
As always on these occasions, we send our sincere thanks to all who competed and their coaches, spectators as well as the staff at Kilmarnock plus volunteers and, of course, our dedicated team of scottishathletics Officials for making the event happen.
