Holders retain golds at Scottish 10,000m Champs
The Glasgow Athletics Association Miler Meets are among the most popular endurance events in Scotland – and there are two more coming up this summer.
Crownpoint played host to the Scottish 10,000m Champs last Friday night, at the first GAA event of the track and field season, with the PB percentage rate at just under 70 percent with 35 from 51 finishers.
Now Scotstoun will be the venue for the two remaining meetings coming up in late May and late July as follows:
800m/3000m meet takes place on Friday 31 May: entries open on Mon May 6 at 12 noon
1500m/5000m meet take place on Friday 26 July: entries open on Mon 1 July at 12 noon
Please note the events are not yet open and, when they do, entries are made via the British Milers Club website.
The Scottish 3000m Champs for U20s and U17s are included in the May 31 meeting. There are also high jump and triple jump events that evening.
Please note Scottish 5000m Champs at Masters age groups are not part of the GAA Meet this year – these are at the Masters Champs in Aberdeen.
