Busy weekend at Emirates Arena

Wednesday 17th September 2014

The Emirates Arena will be a busy place this weekend with the National Coaching Conference taking place on Saturday and Sunday. And the Glasgow venue also stages the scottishathletics Annual General Meeting on Saturday morning. We are absolutely delighted to have had around 250 sign-ups for the National Coaching Conference which looks at three key aspects for progress in athletics – conditioning, technique and planning. There’s still time for places to be secured with the Conference FREE to all scottishathletics coaching members. Our story on the world class lineup for the weekend and links to the various breakout sessions on this website. It is your chance to improve your learning as a coach and benefit from the experience of leads like Kelvin Giles, Steve Fudge, Benke Blomkvist, Fuzz Ahmed and the new scottishathletics Director of Coaching, Rodger Harkins. For those coaches already signed-up, please note that on Saturday access to registration is from Level Three at the Emirates. Please dress suitably for the practical sessions that are taking place. (On Sunday, with a cycling event taking place and Celtic at home, there is a special area in the Emirates Car Park set aside for the Coaching Conference). The overspill car park will not be available. If you are attending and have not yet already done so, please study the breakout options. (SEE CHOICES FINAL). Then please email mary.anderson@scottishathletics.org.uk to advise of your intentions.   Spikes on track *The scottishathletics Annual General Meeting takes place at 10am on Saturday at the Emirates Arena.
