Stage set for 4J Seniors and U17 Champs action on Saturday

The Emirates Arena will be the perfect stage once again this weekend for national championship action.

Medals are up for grabs at the 4J Seniors and U17s – with hundreds of athletes set to compete at the Glasgow venue on Saturday.

The 4J National Open offered athletes the chance to post their first performance of the Indoor Season but now for many a place on the podium will be the target.

We are often reluctant to pick out names in advance of an event but there are certainly a number of familiar names on start-lists for Saturday across the Seniors.

Any list of those would include (though by no means comprehensively): Alessandro Schenini, Alyson Bell, Sarah Malone, Rebecca Matheson, Ethan Pottie, Scott Connal, Adam Hoole, Andrew Murphy, Kyle Alexander, Jill Cherry, Philippa Millage, Stephen Mackay, Ben Greenwood, Krishawn Aiken, Dean Patterson, Murray Fotheringham, Nikki Manson, Angus McInroy, Reuben Nairne, Amy Kennedy

We’re also expecting to see Para athletes Maria Lyle and Ross Paterson compete in integrated events.

Our team in purple and red make sure events happen year in, year out and it is a hectic period at the moment with a number of indoor events including all our own championships as well as the Scottish Schools and the Scottish Student Sport events.
