There were strong performances from three Scots at the Cardiff Half Marathon.
After a long wait, we were pleased to make representative selections for this event with road running opportunities having been cut by the global pandemic.
And it was good to see three Scottish men finish in the top seven in Wales with Jonny Glen of Inverclyde in fourth place with a run of 65.51.
James Donald of Dundee Hawkhill Harriers followed Jonny home in sixth place in 66.13 as Sean Chalmers of Inverness Harriers placed seventh with 66.34. Derek Hawkins of Kilbarchan AAC was 33rd in 71.19.
That gave Scotland a team win at the Cardiff Half Marathon on a day when windy conditions were not conducive for those chasing PBs.

SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY
Also in Wales over the weekend . . .
Well done to all who represented Scottish Schools at the SIAB International Cross Country event.
We understand Scotland took silver medals in the U17 Women’s race, two sets of bronze medals in the boys races and also bronze in the U17 Mixed Relay.
