scottishathletics are preparing once again to deliver our Regional Development Days across multiple event groups this winter.
Our programme of RDDs is scheduled over the coming months on various dates at a range of locations across the country as we look to help to facilitate the development of coaches in Jumps, Throws, Sprints and Hurdles.
Dates are being lined up across the winter season and we encourage clubs & coaches to reflect on their primary areas for development for the 2023-2024 season – and make the most of these CPD opportunities to help achieve these development goals.
We see the purpose of these as key to:
*Engaging with our Coaches – Providing practical, accessible workshop opportunities for ongoing development and learning
*Building Networks – Facilitating coaches to work cooperatively and collaboratively with coaches from other clubs to learn and improve
The Regional Development Days (RDDs) form part of our Event Group Projects (EGPs) – more details on the wider EGPs can be found on the Performance Development section of our website (Click Here).
Delivered at various locations across the country, the RDDs offer an event group approach to coach development.
These CPD sessions are aimed at coaches, with any level of qualification, working with athletes in the U15 and U17 Age Groups who are looking to build their skills, knowledge and confidence.
To get the full benefit, coaches are encouraged to sign up for and attend the full series of workshops within their targeted Event Group across the winter months.
To be eligible to attend coaches need to hold an active UKA coaching licence and be current scottishathletics Coach Members.
The RDDs are delivered in the following areas, please click on the links below to go to the Performance Development area of our website for more information on each:
