There was good news in terms of Combined Events over the weekend from the United States.

Well done to Ewan Bradley on his 5451 tally for the heptathlon. Ewan moves up to fifth on our all-time rankings list for the event (led by Andrew Murphy at 5662 points.

After studying at Loughborough University, Ewan is now currently at Duke University.

It is interesting to note on that all-time list that in the top six and in addition to Andrew’s Record, there are recent performances by Adam Hoole, Joel McFarlane and Howard Bell as well as now Ewan.

Endurance Sessions_V2

Group endurance sessions have been taking place this winter during an exciting cross country season.

scottishathletics supports these gatherings in principle on the basis that they are geared to raising overall standards.

This winter, in fact, we’ve been delighted to see Central Scotland get involved with sessions in Falkirk/Stirling and also island clubs meeting in the Western Isles and Orkney.

There are sessions coming up in Edinburgh on Saturday 14 December as follows:

Edinburgh: Holyrood Park: 10 mins T (2 mins rec), 10 x 75s (60 sec rec / 2 mins after set), 10 mins T

There are also sessions being planned at all venues on Saturday 28 December.  Please check the download above for details on those holiday sessions.
