Feeling capital: Young Scots enjoy their Mini Marathon moments

Young Scottish athletes performed with distinctions once again at the TCS London Mini Marathon at the event’s 40^th birthday.

Para duo Niamh Currie and Mairi Gatherer took top two positions in their races as Alistair Street also delivered a superb second place in the U17 Men’s race.

Scottish teams did well, too, with podium slots for our U15 Girls – taking third place – and the U17 Men – who landed second.

Well done to all our young athletes who represented Scotland and relished their London Mini Marathon experience.

As Neil Gourley underlined in our video message on the site here earlier in the week, the weekend offers so much learning and fun and hopefully inspires our 26 athletes to continue working hard in their sport with their coaches and clubs.

Scotland fourth in team race.
