Inter-Club comp will have coach education chance
Following on from last year’s inaugural Inter-Club competition at our National Championships, there is an exciting new development for 2014.
While the overall club winners in each age group will be officially recognised, the club that finishes top of an age category event group will win a unique coach development opportunity.
This applies to both the Senior Champs at Kilmarnock on August 16 and 17 and the National Age Groups at Aberdeen on August 23 and 24.
The coach development opportunity will involve one of the coaches working with that respective age group and that event group within the club. The specific opportunity will depend upon the experience and development requirements for that individual coach, and suitable opportunities being available.
For example, this may take the form of support to a European event/event group conference, a British Athletics coaching weekend, financial support towards coach education or help in another related area.
The support will be agreed with the scottishathletics Director of Coaching (or their team) prior to attending the coach development opportunity.
