Group XC sessions have been a feature in a couple of areas around Scotland in recent years and it is good to see the format being replicated.
The North have added venues this winter and Edinburgh sessions are back on the schedule, too.
scottishathletics firmly supports the concept of athletes working together with the goal of raising overall standards and coaches meeting informally to network and share knowledge and experience.
Here’s detail on up-coming sessions . . .
Edinburgh – Saturday 28 January
There will be a group session at Holyrood Park as athletes prepare for the Lindsays National XC at Falkirk and students look to the BUCS XC prior to that.
The first rep is at 10.30am.
2 x 8 mins T (2 mins & 4 mins rec), then up to 5 x 3 mins (60 sec rec), 2 mins (45 sec rec), 1 min (60 sec rec)

Glasgow – Saturday 28 January
There will be a Glasgow session taking place at Pollok Park. The session is open to athletes from U15 and above.
5-10 min tempo; 10 x 1 minute with 1 minute recovery; 5-10 minute tempo
Pleased be warmed up and ready to go with first rep at 10.30am.

The North League stage their latest meeting on Saturday at Peterhead.
Races will take place at Aden Country Park, A950 north of Mintlaw. There are races from U11 through to Seniors.
