scottishathletics are pleased to launch our 4J Studios National Open Graded Series – with events planned for August and September.
The on-going Covid-19 pandemic ensured we reluctantly cancelled Scottish National Championship events for 2020 with the focus now on open graded and club events as the way back during a truncated track and field season.
Our 4J Studios National Open Graded Series will feature fixtures with a reduced programme of events and these will be conducted within Scottish Government guidelines (currently in Phase 3).
We would urge all athletes to read our Guidance document for Athletics before submitting an entry. Athletes are limited to ONE entry for each single meeting and these cost £5.
Athletes – Phase 3 Guidance for Competition
Senior, U20 and U17 athletes will be given priority places over other age groups. This will be followed by U15 and Masters. All U13 athletes will initially be placed on a waiting list.
At this juncture, we can only seek to deliver events with reduced numbers and a large slice of co-operation from all involved (venues, Officials, coaches and volunteers).
So decisions have been made on that basis and taking into consideration our Virtual Challenges (with regular SUPERteams events) and also hopefully club competition providing opportunities for younger athletes.
Entries are open now online for the first two events – these are provisionally scheduled for Grangemouth.
Entries will open on Monday 3 August for the next three events thereafter – see list below.
For the opening two events at Grangemouth the entries will close on Thursday 30 July.
All entries must be submitted online through the individual or club portals. There will be no entries accepted on the day due to the volume of pre-entries. Events may close early if capacity is reached. No late entries will be accepted.
If you experience online entry problems please email: events@scottishathletics.org.uk before midnight on the closing date. Emails submitted after this time will not be accepted as an entry.
