scottishathletics welcomes the announcement this week from the First Minister and the updated Route Map from Covid-19 restrictions issued by the Scottish Government.
This gives the first very important steps to resume athletics and running at all levels and an indication of what is possible within each Level of the Route Map.
‘We are now working closely with sportscotland and the Scottish Government to understand the full details of how the announcement impacts on the restart of sport,’ said chief executive Colin Hutchison.
‘We are also in regular touch with all athletics facility operators to discuss their plans for opening up again.
‘Details of online Covid-19 update sessions will be sent directly to all clubs, Covid Coordinators and coach members over the next week or so. Any documents will be posted on our Covid-19 page (see link above).
‘I want to thank athletes, coaches, volunteers and Officials for your patience and support over recent months. We fully appreciate it during difficult times.’
