Four athletes will represent Scotland at the Cardiff Half Marathon this weekend.
The event once again is lined up for Sunday and we’re pleased to be able to offer a competitive road running opportunity.
Following expressions of interest and a selection process, five athletes were picked to represent Scotland in Wales.
Unfortunately, Lindsays National XC and Inter-Counties XC winner Mhairi Maclennan has now withdrawn.
Scotland
Sean Chalmers – Inverness Harriers
James Donald – Dundee Hawkhill Harriers
Jonny Glen – Inverclyde AC
Derek Hawkins – Kilbarchan
Good luck to these four athletes and their families and coaches for the race in Cardiff on Sunday. We also applaud the clubs involved in their development over a number of years.
Mark Nixon, scottishathletics Endurance Manager, said: ‘We are really pleased to return to being able to offer Scotland vests for road running competition opportunities
‘The Cardiff Half Marathon is on a good course and will offer our athletes an excellent opportunity to run fast times against an elite field.’
