Eight athletes will represent Scotland at the prestigious Armagh Road Races next month.

The popular event takes place on the evening of Thursday 8 February in Northern Ireland.

And we are delighted to name four men and four women to represent scottishathletics in an international opportunity via the auspices of our Road Running and Cross Country Commission.

The Armagh event features 5k runs for men and 3k for women and has a reputation each year for delivering fast times and remarkable depth – with Scottish athletes having performed well in recent years individually and in the team races.

Here are the eight athletes selected for Armagh 2024 . . .

Senior Men

Angus McMillan (City of York); Jamie Crowe (Central AC); Scott Stirling (Falkirk Victoria Harriers); Duncan Robinson (Giffnock North)

Senior Women

Megan Davies (Sale Harriers); Lynn McKenna (Shettleston Harriers); Sarah Calvert (Livingston AC); Stefanie Tucker (Cambuslang Harriers)

We send our warm congratulations to these athletes and to their coaches and families. Scotland selections are always the consequence of many years of hard work and development.

We thank the clubs involved with these athletes, too, for their significant role in that development.
