Events section page for Saturday 13 April
The FPSG Outdoor Season is open for business – and one of the first events is coming up soon in Inverness.
Our scottishathletics Throws Grand Prix series takes place over four fixtures across April, May, July and August.
Three of those Throws GP events will happen at Craigswood in Livingston but the first is coming up at Queens Park in Inverness on Saturday 13 April.
Online entries are being taken for each of these events and athletes can enter each event as they wish (rather than the whole series). It is £5 per entry.
Inverness are our hosts for that opening event and there are Para athletics events available via the online process.
Please note: Entries for the April 13 event at Queens Park close on April 4 – so don’t delay if you want a place at Inverness!
The three remaining dates at Livingston thereafter are as follows:
Saturday 25 May (closes May 16)
Saturday 27 July (closes July 18)
Saturday 24 August (closes August 15)
In accordance with UKA Rules of Competition, Rule 141 S1 and 21 S4 (6):
Athletes can only compete in a maximum of three events at each fixture and no athlete may compete twice in the same event.
Prizes
Awards are presented to the Best 3 athlete performances in each discipline.
To be eligible athletes must have competed in at least three out of the four Grand Prix Meetings
Non Binary Athletes wishing to enter any Throws Grand Prix event should contact events@scottishathletics.org.uk to request a specific entry form.
+++
Don’t forget, the Throws Grand Prix is part of the scottishathletics National Event Specific Grand Prix Series.
The first event of the Event Specific Series for 2019 took place on March 23 at the Shetland Spring Open, and the Throws GP in Inverness is the second in the calendar for the overall Series.
A full list of events eligible for Series points can be downloaded from the scottishathletics website
Scores will be added to the Event Specific Series page as soon as they are available.
