Allie lands Glasgow 2026 points tally for heptathlon as CE athletes impress

Monday 1st June 2026

Allie Routledge in Birmingham and U18 Combined Events athletes Leanna Elliot and Douglas Knox

Scottish Combined Eventers performed well on another strong weekend for our athletes.

Allie Routledge and Alix Still went 1-2 in the heptathlon at an event at the University of Birmingham.

Allie tallied 5502 points for a PB by 277 points and a Commonwealth Games qualifying standard for Team Scotland. The mark is set at 5482 points. Alix was close to that, too, with 5432 points for second in the competition.

Well done to both Aberdeen AAC athletes and their coaches with the Games standards having inspired a handful of CE athletes to strong performances over the past year or so.

And the future looks bright, too, with young Scottish duo Douglas Knox and Leanna Elliot in action in Fuerteventura (thanks to support via our National Academy).

Both teenagers posted European U18 qualifying performances as Douglas took victory (7146) and Leanna was second in her event (5396).

That tally for Douglas broke his own Scottish U18 Record (from 6744) and included seven PBs. Great to hear.

Nicole Yeargin was in fine form over 400m in Germany.

The multiple relay medallist posted 51.24 for her fastest time for three years and second in the race. That is half a second quicker than the Games qualifying standard for Women’s 400m.

Laura Muir returned to the 1500m with her first race of the season over that distance at the Diamond League meet in Rabat.

Laura finished fifth in 4:00.77 – almost five seconds quicker than the Games standard.

Back to Birmingham and some further strong endurance runs.

Josh Mungin was at 1:48.13 for 800m to move fourth on the Scottish all-time list at U20. Hannah Cameron took second over 800m with PB run of 2:03.73.

In the Men’s 3000m steeplechase, Peter Bradshaw clocked 8:38.52 (the Games standard there is 8:36.11). Peter is now eighth all-time.
