The scottishathletics Cross Country Grand Prix is at the halfway stage after the Lindsays District XC Champs.

Nancy Scott of Edinburgh AC and Jamie Crowe of Central AC are the leaders as Senior athletes chase a share of £4000 in prize money.

But it is all to play for with two events remaining in the four race series – the Inter-District XC in Glasgow this weekend and then the Lindsays National XC at Falkirk in February.

In the men’s division, there is a Central AC 1-2 at the top of the current table. Jamie leads on 86 points with Aidan Thompson in second on 72 and Scott Stirling (Falkirk Vics) third on 63.

Below the top three there are four athletes tied for fourth place on 50 points – Ben Potrykus (Inverclyde AC), Taha Ghafari (Shettleston Harriers), Logan Rees (Fife AC) and Ross Gollan (East Sutherland).

In the women’s division, two Edinburgh AC athletes feature in the current top five. Nancy leads the way with maximum points on 100 and is followed by Lyn McKenna (Shettleston) in second on 93 and Morag Millar (Central AC) in third on 79.

Completing the top five are fourth-placed Rosa Donaldson of Bellahouston Harriers on 61 points and the second EAC athlete, Scotland international Beth Ansell, on 54 points.
