The Scottish Road Race Grand Prix is up and running for 2024.

Athletes chase shares of a total prize pot of £4000 via the races across our five-event series.

That started with the Scottish Half Marathon Champs which were held earlier this month at the Inverness Half Marathon.

And we are pleased to confirm that a day of strong runs in the highlands is reflected in eight athletes receiving shares via their Half Marathon Champs performances.

Mhairi Maclennan led home the Women’s field and the three athletes on the medal podium all went below 76 minutes to land A shares.

A shares: Mhairi Maclennan 71:47, Virginie Barrand 72:36, Claire Bruce 75:54.

In the men’s race, all of the top five men finsihed inside the B standard barrier of sub 67 minutes,

B shares: John Bell 65:34; Sean Chalmers 65:49; Michael Ferguson 65:58; Fraser Stewart 66:27; Mike Christoforou 66:58.

The next races is the Scottish 10-Mile Champs coming up at Strathclyde Park on Sunday 31 March.
