Cara Shearer

Scottish Women in Sport website

Cara Shearer joined us a couple of months ago as our new National Club Manager and key member of our Development team.

And now Cara and GB and Scotland international Mhairi Maclennan are among new recruits to the Board of Scottish Women in Sport.

SWiS work tirelessly to raise the profile of women’s sport in Scotland and are assured of our support via the promotion of their annual awards and other projects.

Now Cara and Mhairi, who won the Lindsays National XC for the third time last month, will be directly involved in the organisation which seeks to further develop women’s sport.

‘I am delighted to be joining this group of inspiring women as a newly appointed Board trustees,’ said Cara.

‘It is a fantastic organisation that I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside while striving to make the sport more accessible for all.’
