Lindsays National XC: clubs should now be gathering names

Our first Lindsays National XC for two years is only one month away!

The big event looms on Saturday 26 February at Callendar Park and clubs are being to support these races in a really big way.

Falkirk’s central Scotland location means Callendar Park has been a hugely popular venue over a number of years and we’re hoping for strong entry fields once again in 2022.

The last visit, in February 2020, was memorable for all involved as severe weather made our pre-event planning difficult and conditions were tough on the day itself – for those racing, spectating or desperately hanging onto gazebos in high winds!

But the #SALtogether atmosphere was superb and February 26 will mark the highpoint of the Lindsays Cross Country Season after exciting national events so far at Scone Palace in Perth and Lanark Racecourse.

Entries close on Thursday 10 February so we would ask clubs to start gathering names and make submissions to us via the club portal on the page here.

Vinco to deliver Lindsays National XC coverage once again

WE are delighted to confirm that, once again, scottishathletics are making plans to present comprehensive video footage from the event at Callendar Park.

In 2018, we introduced drone footage for the first time and staged a delayed transmission of longer-version highlights on the Saturday evening after the races had been completed at Falkirk.

That coverage was repeated in 2019 and 2020 and we also restored short-form highlights packages of all 10 races on the day on our You Tube Channel – we call it scottishathletics TV! (Please subscribe here – it’s free).
