The scottishathletics Education Programme for Spring 2022 offers coaches across the country a number of learning opportunities.

Our team delivered over 50 education courses during 2021 and it is hugely encouraging to see the interest stimulated by our courses.

There are now opportunities for would-be new coaches and leaders to take their first step on the education pathway with Leadership in Running Fitness and Coaching Assistant courses.

We also have a series of sessions set up for Coach in Running Fitness, Athletics Coach and Event Group Integration opportunities for those looking to progress their knowledge and qualification.

Further information is available via the coaching pages on this website along with links to enable volunteers to book a course place via our online booking website Athletics Hub.

*On the link above, there are sign-up opportunities for forthcoming courses both online and at locations such as Kilmarnock, Tranent, Alloa, Glasgow, Livingston, Aberdeen and Dundee.

Pleased note that some course are already fully subscribed but as we confirm and schedule opportunities, these are added to this list.

Hundreds take up Coach Education opportunities

We reported previously the superb response from the athletics community in Scotland to our courses and the clear yearning for learning.

No fewer than 746 took part in coach education sessions delivered by scottishathletics in 2021.

The total includes jog leaders and coaching assistants taking their first step on the coaching pathway, and those who already have experience, choosing to seek further training and improve their skills.

Thanks for your continued commitment and support.
