Aberdeen Sports Village plays host to our 4J Studios Age Group Champs this weekend – with more than 700 athletes on the start-lists.
It is a first outdoor National Championship event for the U20, U15 and U13 age groups for two years with the impact of Covid-19 restricting us to open graded events in the summer of 2020.
So it will be great to back together once again – although some protocols will be in place to ensure safety for all involved.
Coaches and spectators wishing to attend must register in advance – details further down the story.
However, if you are not able to attend in person we are delighted to have Live Stream coverage from Vinco Sport.
This is a first from scottishathletics in terms of the Age Groups (we limited such coverage to Senior/U17 events in the past) and it would be great to see big viewing numbers across our community.
Live Results from Aberdeen should kick-in once the action starts and will be available on the link at the top of this article.
Other key information for those competing or coming along is on the Event Section page.
Vinco joined us at Grangemouth for the 4J Studios Senior/U17 Champs and our coverage included short highlights of each day on our YouTube channel.
We will be looking to replicate that depth of coverage in Aberdeen, too.
Daniel Rees (who began his athletics career with Banchory Stonehaven AC) will be Vinco’s lead commentator this weekend. Daniel will be joined on Saturday and Sunday by U20 GB international Sarah Tait.
We will also have albums of photos from scottishathletics Photographer, Bobby Gavin, across our social channels over the weekend.
We would like to remind coaches and spectators that they need to register with us in advance to attend for either day (or both).
scottishathletics coach members are free. U16s need to be accompanied by an athlete who has registered with us, please.
Please note some parking restrictions will apply around the venue on Sunday with Aberdeen FC now playing at Pittodrie Stadium on Sunday (rather than Saturday).
*More information about spectator registration is on our Event section.
