All our Covid-19 guidance here
scottishathletics has been pleased to see a return to training in small groups over the past couple of weeks as Covid-19 restrictions ease.
Everyone within the sport is of course hoping for further change over the next month or two ahead of the summer track and field season and hopefully more off-track action.
There are a couple of points we want to highlight at this stage – with a change coming in from tomorrow (April 5) for training groups of athletes aged 12-17 years.
*There is a temporary easing of restrictions for 12-17 year olds in Level 4 meaning that physical distancing is no longer required in training groups from Monday 5 April through to Monday 26 April.
This means the group can train as ‘normal’ during the session. Before and after the session, social physical distancing rules should still be observed. Thanks.
*A reminder that while advice has moved from #StayAtHome to #StayLocal the full end of travel restrictions is not happening until April 26.
Unfortunately that means travel outside Scotland for competition is still prohibited at this time. Athletes covered under the ‘return to performance sport’ guidance should contact their performance team lead if they are planning to travel.
