Chris O’Hare – set a new National Record at 1500m in Monaco in July

Scottish Athletics Record Book

It definitely feels like Scottish athletes were once again tearing up the track and field during a fine 2018 season.

And that impression is backed up by hard facts now in the Scottish athletics Record books with a whole host of new marks – across various age groups and disciplines – now confirmed.

Following comprehensive work by our volunteers on the Records Committee, which is part of the Track and Field Commission, we’re delighted to confirm another significant batch of performances have now re-written the history books.

At Senior level, the National Records validated include those by Beth Dobbin, Laura Muir, Chris O’Hare and Jake Wightman as well as a Native Record by Jack Lawrie.
