Monday 8th October 2018

Cumbernauld is our first venue for the Lindsays National Cross Country Season – and entries are closing this week!

The Lindsays National XC Relays are on Saturday 27 October at their now traditional North Lanarkshire location across the hills and mud of Cumbernauld House park.

And clubs are urged to make sure they give us all names by MIDNIGHT ON THURSDAY so that we can process all the entries for four races.

More than 65 clubs have already been in touch and entry forms are available on email events@scottishathletics.org.uk

This is always one of the biggest days on our calendar and entry numbers have been fantastic over the past three or four years.

We would love to see that happen again for 2018 as we look to maximise our national championship events in terms of the experience for those involved and the promotion of the sport.

Inverclyde AC won the Men’s team golds last year at Cumbernauld as they held off the challenge of Aberdeen AAC, who took the silvers, with Central AC taking third.

Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds won the Women’s golds for the second successive year as they won from Central AC and Edinburgh AC.

The Young Females race was won by Edinburgh AC and the Young Males race was won by Giffnock North AC.
