Yearn to learn: Coach education programme for autumn 2026 – courses across Scotland

The education team at scottishathletics are delighted to provide details of our autumn coach and leader education programme.

Courses are available at venues around the country for those looking to enter the coaching pathway with Coaching Assistant and Leadership in Running Fitness courses as well as those looking to develop towards the coach qualifications of Athletics Coach and Coach in Running Fitness.

We strongly encourage would-be coaches and current coaches to take up these opportunites for learning.

For coaches looking to further enhance their qualifications and knowledge the Athletics Coach Additional Elective Modules and the Event Group Coach courses are also available.

Our qualification courses for the autumn went live from 12 noon on Tuesday 14 July.

With the support of our partners at sportscotland, we are again offering a subsidy for all our education courses to support access to qualifications for individuals currently underrepresented in our coaching workforce.
