
Start-lists for Sunday 4 January
The first Scottish national championship medals of 2026 are up for grabs on Sunday at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow,
Our partners at the Glasgow Athletics Association play host to a Miler Meet programme that includes medal chances at U18, U20 and Senior level over 3000m.
The event starts at 2pm at the Emirates with the last race scheduled for just after 4,.30pm.

Arrival
Entry to the stadium through the upstairs concourse (level 3) only – entry will not be permitted at ground level.
Doors open at 12:00 (no earlier).
Spectators
Spectator entry will take place on the level 3 concourse. All other attendees will be required to sign in with the GAA volunteers on arrival.
We’re sorry to have to charge for sector admission but unfortunately venue hire is very expensive!
Admission is free for athletes U16s and Coaches (holding a valid UKA coaching licence). Coaches will be given a band to enter the competition area.
Please sign up online in advance
Once registered please save a copy of your confirmation email as you will need to show this on arrival to gain entry to the venue.
Spectators will be directed to the seating area and will not be able to enter the competition area.
Declarations
Declarations will take place on the Level 3 concourse.
Athletes must declare at least one hour prior to the start of their event/pool. Declarations will close at 15:30
Warm-up
Please be mindful that there will be field events going on as part of our Jump Glasgow event.
There will be a second pole vault pit in operation by the entrance to the warm up area, please adhere to the barriers and be respectful of other competitors.
Please head down the training straight (towards the long jump pit and shot put area) and along the window to access the assembly point.
Assembly
Track assembly will be at the side of the home straight (adjacent to the main arena long jump pit). Please meet here ten minutes before your race is due to start.
The races will start on time. We will not wait for you or look for you – it is the athletes responsibility to be there at the right time, warmed up and ready to race.
General
Spikes – Emirates Arena permits 6mm (MAX) in either cones, Christmas tree or pyramid spikes.
Spikes are to be worn in the competition area only, please remove your spikes before heading to the stand.
Emirates are really strict around food and drink in the arena so please only bring water into the infield.
Results
All being well track results will be uploaded on Open Track live:

Results will be sent to Power of Ten after the meet and will be published early next week.
Presentations
Medals will be awarded to the fastest three athletes in each age group (U18, U20 & Senior) regardless of what heat they have been seeded in.
Please make yourself available for presentations at the end of the event should you finish in the top three times in your age group.
Prize Pot
Additionally, there will a ‘prize pot’ available to overall fastest in each of the men’s and women’s 3,000m events if they break the following target times:
£300 Men – 8:00
£300 Women – 9:10
