Scottish throwers are headed for Glasgow this weekend for our Winter Throws GP (Long Throws).
Crownpoint is the venue for Saturday’s event and athletes should benefit from the refurbished throws facility.
There should be a strong turnout with 120 event entries received and we thank athletes and coaches for their support in advance.
Angus McInroy of Shettleston is on home turf for the Men’s discus only a few days after winning the Senior Shot title at our 4J Indoor Champs at Grangemouth.
Other athletes to look out for could include Abbey Kennedy (Kilmarnock Harriers) in the discus/hammer, Scott Hopper (Kilbarchan AAC) in the javelin and Logan Mitchell (Kilmarnock Harriers) in the hammer.
With athletes from U15 to M65 on the start-lists, the overall appeal of the throws is perfectly demonstrated.
Thank you in advance to our scottishathletics Official – your support makes event happen.
