Sunday 5th January 2020

Eloise Walker clocked the fastest run on the night by a woman at the Scottish 3000m Champs with an indoor PB of 9:26.13 at the Emirates Arena.

The Edinburgh AC athlete, now based in Glasgow at university and working with coach Andy Young’s group, will represent Scotland at the Run Stirling international XC event next weekend.

Big thank you to Gordon Curran for helping scottishathletics in producing these video interviews.

Stephen Mackay took a silver medal in the main Men’s race as he recorded a big PB of 8:13.

It continued good form from 2019 for the Inverness Harriers athlete who was fortunate enough to work last year with Laura Muir and her coach, Andy Young, and then also trained abroad with Andy Butchart.

Jenny Selman was another athlete to take strong 2019 form into her first race of 2020 with a PB run in Glasgow.

The Fife AC athlete won a Scotland vest for cross country in Liverpool a number of years after her last international appearance.

Now Jenny has her sights on the 15000m at the 4J Studios National Indoor Seniors and U17s on Sunday 26 January back at the Emirates Arena.
