It was quite a day at the Lindsays National XC at Falkirk on Saturday.
‘Four Season in One Day’ just about covers what the weather threw at us but, thankfully, the event was delivered and Callendar Park remains the perfect stage for cross country running in a Scottish winter.
Finisher numbers will show that very nearly 1800 athletes completed their races in hugely challenging conditions underfoot and overhead. It was tough, too, for spectators and particularly our volunteer marshals out on the course for a couple of hours at at time.
So a huge thank you is offered to all who races, coached, helped out, supported or were involved as team managers.
We’re delighted to bring you highlight packages from all 10 races on Saturday with thanks to Vinco for the footage and Bobby Gavin for these still images. The commentary is by Connor Craig-Jackson of Vinco and Andy Ronald of host club Falkirk Vics.
Please do share links for each film in order to help us drive up the number of views. Thanks.
