We are pleased to have welcomed two new members of staff to the scottishathletics team.
Susan Nisbet is our new finance assistant. Susan comes to us having worked with Cricket Scotland, and so has a good knowledge of governing body operations, in addition to a wealth of experience in finance support roles.
Sophie Allan joins our events team as competitions and business administrator. Sophie is already familiar to many in athletics in Scotland through her involvement in Dunfermline Track and Field, and as a member of our start team.
Competitions manager Caitlin Watt said: ‘I am really pleased to have Sophie joining the team. She brings with her a wealth of experience from her roles as a technical Official and as a coach with her local club, and has experience of organising events at her home track in Dunfermline.
‘She will be working with the Competitions team to prepare for and deliver national events, as well as supporting event organisers through the licensing process.
‘We’d like to thank Laura Kirkland, who has been assisting the events team with licensing since December and has been a real asset to our operations.’
CEO of scottishathletics, Colin Hutchison said: ‘scottishathletics are delighted to welcome Susan and Sophie to the organisation.
‘Both Susan and Sophie bring experience from competing and volunteering in sport but most importantly bring significant skills to the vital roles they will play in supporting our membership and operations.
‘It is always exciting to bring new members into the staffing team and we look forward to working with both Susan and Sophie.’
