Seven athletes have been selected to represent Scotland at an international road race in Ireland next month.

The Frank Duffy 10-Miler takes place in Dublin on Saturday 23 August.

And Scotland will be represented by three men and three women in the event following a selection process taking in performances at 10k and half marathon in recent weeks.

The race is one of the international opportunities offered to athletes annually by scottishathletics (these are listed on the International Handbook).

Scotland Women:

Megan Crawford (Fife AC)

Jennifer Emsley (Central AC)

Shona McIntosh (Hunters Bog Trotters)

Congratulations to the athletes selected and their coaches and all at clubs involved in their development over the years. We wish them all well for the race in Dublin.
